"Not an equal share, but an equal sacrifice"

With $1,209,662 in commitments, our Building to Serve capital campaign has exceeded our Celebration goal and is a beautiful testament to the work of God at Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. This is the culmination of nearly two years of work, prayer and faithfulness, as well as the beginning of an exciting new phase of physical building and spiritual growth. We will continue to pray “Lord, what do you want to do through me?”

When Holy Spirit was formed nearly 40 years ago, our founding priest, Father Jim Hopewell, stressed the importance of ministering to the needs of the community at large, in addition to ministering to one another. It is in keeping with this core value of outreach that Holy Spirit embarked on a journey of expansion called “Building to Serve” in January 2015. These monies are enabling us to create a larger, more up-to-date space to accommodate our growing parish and expand the reach of our ministries in the surrounding community.

Although our capital commitment goal has been met, this is a three year campaign that will officially conclude in 2018. Those who are new to our parish are urged to consider a gift to the campaign and existing parishioners are welcome to add to their commitment as well. You will be updated on the giving progress by the Building to Serve Connection Team and on this web site. Members of this team are Beverly Clemmer, Jay Franklin, Tom McDonnell and Allison Taylor.

In order to distinguish gifts to the general operating budget and to the capital campaign, please write separate checks and identify it in the memo field “BUILDING” if it is for the Building to Serve campaign.
