Our Home Groups
Our parish has two home groups that meet on a regular basis. As part of the meeting, the members read and consider the lectionary lessons assigned for the coming Sunday. Fr. Keith writes questions to help begin the conversation for the home group members. The questions are listed below so everyone can review them as part of their preparation for Sunday worship whether they attend a home group or not. Please talk with Fr. Keith if you would like to learn more about home groups.

Here are the questions for this week's home groups:
1. Genesis: This passage describes God's promise of a new approach-- he will not destroy humanity in the future, even extremely sinful humanity. What is the alternative approach that is implied? What does God offer instead?
2. Psalm: How is God characterized in this psalm? What is his role? How does he relate to us? What must our attitude be to benefit from God's role and relationship with us?
3. I Peter: This passage is so filled with biblical images, it may be confusing. Try to sort out the different aspects. What stands out to you? What is the sense you get of God and God's orientation to us? What is the role of Christ? What is our role?
4. Mark: In just seven verses, Mark describes three big parts of the beginnning of Jesus' public ministry (in Luke and Matthew, these sections stand alone and are much longer). Why does Mark give a shorthand version? What is he counting on from the reader and hearer?
