Music at Holy Spirit
Music at Holy Spirit is a vital part of the worship service. St. Augustine said, “Those who sing, pray twice.” The choirs are dedicated to leading the music portion of the liturgy. The purpose of the choirs is not to entertain, but to sing praises to God.
Congratulations to the Adult choir for their performance at the Red Door Festival. It sure is different singing outside!
Here is some of our recent music:
Sanctus (from Pike's Peak Mass, Arlen Clarke)
Alleluia, Christ Our Passover (from Service for a New Day, Mark Schweizer)
Glory to God in the Highest (from Pike's Peak Mass, Arlen Clarke)
Our Choirs -
We currently have 3 choirs at Holy Spirit:
Adult Choir – high school age and up
(Wednesday evening rehearsals – 7:30-9:00)
Youth Choir – 6th grade – 12th grade
(Sunday rehearsals after the 10:45 service, except 1st Sunday)
Children’s choir – 4 years old – 5th grade
(Wednesday afternoon rehearsals – 5:00-5:30)

Participation in choir is open to all. There is always room for more voices in our choirs. We also encourage instrumentalists to share their talent with the music program.
Please contact Jeff Daniel at church, or by email at ecohsmusic@bellsouth.net.
The Choristers Prayer
Bless O Lord, us your servants, who minister in your temple.
Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts,
and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
